Toni Tony Tone, Lucy PearlのRaphael Saadiqのソロとしては第一作目。最近では、どちらかといったらProducerとしてシーンに貢献してきたRaphaelだが、自己のアルバムでもその能力をいかんなく発揮している。現代ソウルきっての才人らしく、端正で高品質なアルバムに仕上がっている。トラックは70年代ソウル風のサウンドにストリングスが目立っているが、本人はgospeldelocと称してる。メロディメーカーとしての実力もたいしたもの。
