| Alicia Keysの4年振り3枚目。オリジナルアルバムとしては久しぶりだが、MTV Unpluggedや役者としての活躍もあって、不在感は全く無かった。もともと才色兼備、品行方正でかつ強い意志をもったキャラクターだったが、当アルバムでは凄みまで身に着けてしまい、これでまだ25歳なのだから、本当に驚いてしまう。サウンドのほうはR&B畑のProducerはMark Batsonくらいで、よりポピュラーなほうに振れていて、アレンジもオーソドックスであり、ジャンルを超えた普遍性まで獲得している。Trackもピアノ+バンドサウンド中心だ。唄のほうは、シャウトしたり、ささやいたり、ハスキーだったりと表現力に一層磨きがかかっている。全曲ハイレベルで、トータルとしての完成度も質も相当高いところに達している。 | ||
