UKの女性Pop Singer, Adeleの2年振りの2作目。タイトルも2つ年齢を重ねて、”21”となっている。作風は前作同様、PianoやGuiterによるアコースティックサウンドで、フォーキーで時にR&B, Jazzっぽかったいしている。表現力も増して、静謐な中でも徐々に盛り上がるAdeleの唄を中心に据えたProduceによるアルバムの統一感がでている。良いメロディの曲が多いので単調にはならずに済んでいる。なお、CDブックレットを見たら、意外とふくよかなAdeleでした。
